We’re all homeschoolers now—and this year more than ever, we need your help to support digital learning. In the midst of this pandemic, the only libraries that are still completely functional are digital. Students, teachers, researchers, and readers around the world are turning to their screens, and the Internet Archive is hard at work providing access to books that were locked away. For just $20, we can purchase, digitize, and preserve a book forever, making it available throughout the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.
Right now, we have a 2-to-1 Matching Gift Campaign, tripling the impact of every donation. If our library is useful to you, please chip in.
A pop music radio show for people who already know plenty about pop music, hosted by Ron "Boogiemonster" Gerber and heard every Friday night from 10:30 to midnight on KFAI-FM, 90.3 FM Minneapolis, 106.7 FM St. Paul, and KFAI.org.
In a spur-of-the-moment attempt to responsibly acknowledge the real workaday world we live in, this Friday, Sept. 1, Crap From The Past and Radio Rumpus Room will present a "Friday Night Back To School Special." As area students prepare to return to their scholastic endeavors, three solid hours of programming will address the age-old trials and concerns of youth in the (mostly) middle school/high school environment. (Well, at least those issues chronicled in pop and rock'n'roll songs from the '60s to the present.)
If you have children in school, if you ever went to school, if you occasionally come in contact with students at your place of worship or liquor store, or if -- confounding our demographics -- you yourself may actually be a student, you will not want to miss this rare educational broadcast.
The "Friday Night Back To School Special" begins this Friday at 9:00 p.m. with Radio Rumpus Room and continues until midnight with Ron Gerber and Crap From The Past. For the sake of the generations that will some day govern this nation, please do not miss this important piece of programming.
Don't be a fool -- stay in school!
